Planning & Zoning

The Planning Commission is appointed by the Mayor and City Council and reviews land use zoning requests and applications for variances. The Commission meets at City Hall, 520 Broadway on the 1st Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. All applications must be submitted to the Building Officials office 30 days prior to the next commission meeting date. All decisions by the Minden Planning Commission are final after a fourteen day appeals period. Appeals of the MPC decisions must be made in writing to the Mayor and City Council. Appeals by other than the applicant or a council member shall require ten signatures of registered voters residing within the corporate limits of The City of Minden.
