The Minden Police Department is led by Chief T.C. Bloxom Jr., who has served in the position for 13 years. Under his leadership and with a force of 33 officers and staff, the City of Minden boasts a very low crime rate.

Parish Sheriff's Office
The Webster Parish Sheriff's Office is led by Sheriff Gary Sexton.
The WPSO is responsible for collecting ad valorem taxes, carrying out
orders of the court, maintaining the jail and enforcing state and local
laws.
WPSO personnel consist of 11 deputies in the criminal investigative division, which includes two domestic violence deputies; 20 full-time patrol deputies; four reserve deputies; and two school resource officers. Overall, there is a total of 66 full-time deputies within the patrol, detective and civil divisions.
Sixty-two full-time and 11 part-time deputies are employed in the WPSO corrections division.
